I am an artist first and foremost. I take pride in using the finest available materials, paying attention to most minute details, doing the best possible work that my human hands will allow, and taking time to bond with each piece as it goes through it's own little journey while in my care.
When I build a piece for someone, the intention is to make it last for lifetimes to come. The design and craftsmanship have come forth result from years of experience and close attention to details, but primarily they have been a blessing from God. It’s Him that will be glorified through my work. Remembering that it’s never about US is the key to lasting joy and fulfillment.
My work has many different elements of inspiration that comes from things such as the majestic Lake Superior with it's rugged terrain, the simple beauty of a line, the subtitles of textures, the geometry of architecture, and nostalgia of things past.
I am on a lifelong journey as an artist, never sitting back and settling for average. Many of the inspirations for new ideas come at times when you’re least expecting them. The really good ones get my undivided attention to become a part of my ongoing collection of work which is quite diverse. This process keeps me fresh as I don't often create the same pieces over and over again. Most of my work is one of a kind or limited production pieces.
